Turkish Towel Colours: Finding Your Shade

A Turkish towel is more visible than any other home textile: it hangs in the bathroom, lies on the beach, travels over the shoulders as a scarf. Its colour is therefore no side issue — it’s half the character of the cloth. Our collection spans 21 colours, each in two weaves. Here’s how to find yours.

Four ways to your colour

1. By place: For the bathroom, calm light tones like Beige, Pearl Gray and Blush Pink work timelessly well. By the sea, reach for the water tones — Turquoise, Denim Blue, Slate Blue. For sauna and relaxation room: muted natural tones such as Sage Green and Pine Green.

2. By wardrobe: A peshtemal you wear as a scarf or sarong should suit your colours. If you live in denim and white, Denim Blue and Beige pick that up; warm earth tones pair with Golden Mustard and Caramel; with black, almost anything works — Fuchsia or Burgundy most strikingly.

Will the colours last?

Yes — if you wash your towel correctly: 40 °C, colour detergent, no bleach, line drying. The yarns are dyed before weaving, so the colour sits in the fibre, not on it.
